WE WANT TO HELP.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
- Jesus Christ
(Matthew 28:19-20, ESV)
Our church family is on mission every single day to share the good news about Jesus Christ with our families, friends, and neighbors. We are regularly equipped to always be ready to explain the hope we have with gentleness and respect. We have opportunities to put what we learn into practice through one-on-one sharing with the people in our lives, organized outreach to our neighbors, and Neighborhood Bible Studies we lead in public places throughout our community every month.
Through our prayers, time, and financial blessings, we are also involved in many other efforts to proclaim the good news about Jesus Christ throughout South Carolina and around the world.
Local Missions
The planting of the Loris church of Christ in Horry County, SC is sharing Jesus with men and women in that community.
Palmetto Bible Camp in Marietta, SC helps youth grow in their faith through its spring youth rally, summer camp weeks, and fall singing.
Southeastern Children’s Home and Counseling Center in Duncan, SC provides care to needy children and families through group home care, foster care, adoption, maternity care, and counseling.
Our neighbors in need are fed and encouraged through our support of Helping Hands of Georgetown, Inc.
Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort, Inc. responds to any major disaster in the continental United States by sending truckloads of emergency food, water, cleaning, and other supplies.
GLOBAL MISSIONS
Putrela Children’s home (Andrha Pradesh, S. India)
“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world” (James 1:27, ESV). We are a major supporter of Putrela Children’s Home and Millennium English Medium School in India, which are currently caring for over 80 children. These children, many of whom are rescued from the streets or brothels, are provided a safe place to live, nutritious meals, and a family who loves them and introduces them to Jesus.
Eastern European Mission
Eastern European Mission freely supplies Bibles and Bible-based materials to 30 nations in Eastern Europe. These materials are given to individuals, families, children in youth camps, refugees, mission churches, public universities, public schools, public libraries, prisons, hospitals, orphanages, campaign groups, and anywhere else Bibles are needed.
